Our work of loving and caring doesn’t end when a child is brought to our village, or end when they reach adult hood, but last their whole life like any loving parent would do for their children.
A wholistic and enduring model
We developed our model to create a safe and nurturing environment vulnerable and orphaned children but to also give them a context to grow up and be equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in life. To do this we identified 4 key focus points, family, Economics, education and health.
A family centered village.
There is a great need here in Zambia to look after the children that are vulnerable and or orphaned from HIV/AIDS. Our villages emphasizes family and is structured to support kids ranging from toddlers to teenagers to know they are loved, valuable and have a calling from God in life.
Education
To ensure our children and children in the surrounding village have access to quality education we started School of Hope. Our school is accessible to villages within a 30 mile radius of Villages of hope. School of Hope was launched out of necessity in the early days of our organization but has grown into a blessing for the entire community.
Economics
Our goal at Villages of Hope is to be fully sustainable to care for our village. Our businesses are a key component to our model: providing jobs as well as opportunities to train not just our graduates but also other local individuals in new trade skills to better their life and the world around them.
Complete Health
We want our kids to grow up strong and healthy. Providing a healthy environment means physical, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. For physical health it means ensuring children have a balanced healthy diet and access to health care. We see this same need in the community at large so we have launched many health centered initiatives to enhance the lives of villagers around us.
